Park Bom’s “You and I” is a HIT!

After 2NE1 member, Park Bom's release of her solo single You And I, she's already hit number one on the charts and gained major success in less than a day. On the 28th, Park Bom's single hit #1 on Bugs, #3 on Doshirak and Mnet.com and #6 on Melon. This instant success has surprised many because she beat out most of the new debut groups and comeback artists. But is it really all that surprising? Her girl group 2NE1 is one of the biggest success stories this year, with hit songs like Fire and I Don't Care, their mini-album did extremely well.

So far there seems to be nothing but positive feedback from netizens: "The color of her voice sounds foreign, which is a hard to find voice in Korea." and "I think the song is in perfect harmony with Park Bom's vocals." Not just the song itself but the music video, which was led by Park Bom herself, is also in perfect harmony with her image and the music. She even donned a very beautiful wedding dress and showed a very mature and elegant side of her that made heads turn. You And I is planned to be bundled into the upcoming full 2NE1 album.

1)I've been listening to it all day, regardless of my biasedness. The song really suits her and the MV color is so amazing and bright that I have to watch everytime. No offense to our other girls but Bom's voice sounds really good all by itself backed up by herself.
